A cold front had passed through the night before and it turned out to be a very windy day.
Gusts over 50 mph forced all the clans to take the tops off their tents if not take them down completely.
But it turned out to be a warm, sunny but windy day enjoyed by all.

Although it rained heaveily until Noon, a happy crowd enjoyed the windy, partly sunny afternoon.
Jim "Bowie" Wallace, Wayne Jones (Convener) and
Jim Schmelzer, who is returning to the Festival circuit after a second right knee replacement.
Seven Massed Pipe & Drum Bands perform for the patrons on a muddy field.
