Renovation & Walkway
BACK
At the September 2007 Annual Meeting of Directors (ADM), pursuant to the Society Articles of Incorporation (See pertinent extract below) unanimously agreed to contribute $3000.00 to the National Trust for Scotland (NTS). This contribution assists the NTS in completing renovations at the Culloden Battlefield and a new modern Visitor's Center. The Society will be recognized in perpetuity with a 600 mm by 600mm Caithness granite paving stone in the walkway leading to the Visitor's Center. The stone will have engraved on it the Wallace cap badge and the words, Clan Wallace Society Worldwide. Upon seeing our stone, visitors will know that the memory and spirit of William Wallace lives on more than 700 years after his martyrdom at the hands of the English.
Here is a photo of a Insignia Stone, the type that will recognize the Society, showing the NTS symbol. Envision the NTS symbol replaced by the Wallace cap badge and the text replaced as stated above. As soon as CWS has a photo of the actual paving stone it will replace the generic photo having the NTS symbology.
